PODE (Prediction-Operation-Discussion-Explanation) modified from POE, changed“Observation” to “Operation” and added into “Discussion” step. By making cognitive conflicts between predictions and the results of operation, then guided students’ scientific concepts toward parsimony, coherence and accepted by the scientific community, throughstudents’ shared meanings in classroom arranged by teacher. This paper introduced the theoretical framework and procedures of PODE, providing a reference for gifted edutation teachers to design science curriculum and teach science. |
