In the Curriculum Guidelines of 12-Year Basic Education, core competencies are the keys to teaching and assessment, which emphasize students' ability to integrate knowledge, skills, and attitudes to solve problems in their lives. Therefore, competency-based assessments emphasize students' performance in applying what they have learned to solve problems in real situations. While the development of competency-based assessment tools for general subjects has been relatively fast and much discussed, the development of competency-based assessment for vocational senior high school professional subjects has been relatively slow. The purpose of this study was explored how to develop a competency-based assessment that was in line with the new curriculum of Introduction to Digital Technology (Application) in the Commerce and Management Group of vocational senior high school, and explains how the Center for study area of Business and Administration promote the competency-based assessment for Introduction to Digital Technology (Application), then summarizes the key points of competency-based assessment with reference to the connotation of competencies in Introduction to Digital Technology (Application), item types, characteristics, and basic elements, and proposes three item development strategies. The detailed step-by-step descriptions and examples can be used as a reference for teachers to develop item to add competency-based assessment tools for professional subjects. |
