There has been a growing interest in story leadership research in the field of education. New concepts of leadership have been emerging and influenced directors, teachers, educators, and assistant educators working in preschools. In view of this phenomenon, this study sought to understand the development of story leadership in various education institutions and analyze the potential factors that influence story leadership. The results could be conducive to planning a more comprehensive framework for story leadership. In this study, literature analysis and interview were conducted for data collection to understand the current development and future prospect of story leadership in preschools in Taiwan; the visions and goals of story leadership for local preschools were then established. The research objectives of this study are as follows: (1) to understand the meaning of story leadership and its related theories through domestic and international review literature; (2) to understand the opinions of educators working in public and private preschools regarding story leadership and their practices through interview; and (3) to propose recommendations according to the research findings. |
