For more than twenty years, experimental education in Taiwan has been put effort by many enthusiastic people. Finally, in 2014, three acts of experimental education were passed by the Legislative Yuan, giving experimental education a broader way to develop. In this study, the development of experimental education, important relevant regulations and its spirit have been briefly explained first, as well as the developmental trend of experimental education and its possible future directions have been discussed. The conclusions are as follows: 1. parents are given more educational choices since they have more initiatives in selecting their desirable schools; 2. local governments are driven to develop relevant regulations; 3. rural schools can be transformed into experimental schools; 4. the integration of experimental education supporting system should be conducted to build a friendly environment for experimental education; 5. public and private sectors should work together to lead the positive change and revolution for education; 6. public schools are impelled to manage innovatively to explore the unlimited possibilities of education. |
