As the number of university and college increases, earning a bachelor degree has been seen as mandatory. Instead of having a clear target by making use of cultural capital and learning resources provided by university, it is not uncommon to see that students enter university only for the purpose of earning a degree, which has resulted in a huge gap between learning and practice. This research has used a qualitative casestudy approach to explore the influence of university students' cultural capital upon personal career planning; interviews were undertaken with 5 senior university students for data collection. The research findings are: 1. University students' cultural capital is accumulated through their family and school experiences; 2. University students' cultural capital will influence their self-identity, environment exploration, and career planning. |
