As we know, the Ching Dynasty founded its Embassy in Japan in 1877. In this paper, we are going to make a survey of the accomplishments and the gains and the losses of Ru-Zhang He, Shi-Chang Li and Shou-Jing Yang, the ministers accredited to Japan. We try to discuss the differences and similarities between the ideas and philosophy of Chinese and Japanese with the literary and historical data--Shi Dong Shu Lue and Ri Ben Fang Shu Zhi. In the meantime, using the book Qing Ke Bi Tan, we are going to talk about the historical meaning of Yang's bringing back to China the missing ancient books and rare editions. |
