本研究旨在透過協同行動研究改善大一會話課程期末口試機制。行動研究包括兩個循環,第一個循環從計畫到預備測驗,本文的重點在探討第二個循環,這個過程包括反思第一個循環的缺失,發展改善策略,擬定新的行動計劃,製作測驗細目表、更新口試的評分項目及指標、計分表,同時設計了期末口試評分表等,到最後實施期末口試。研究結果發現,這一連串的行動提升了考試的效度、信度以及對學習的波及效果。同時也達到本研究的目的(1)減低教師針對每位學生期末口試成績評分之落差;(2)教師能說明學生口試的表現,給予適當的回饋;(3)增加學生答題的時間及題數。
The purpose of this study is to improve the final oral exam mechanism for college freshmen through the collaborative action research. There are two cycles in the action research. The first cycle is from the planning to preparation of the test. This article focuses on the second cycle which includes reflecting drawbacks in the first cycle, developing improvement strategies, designing new action plans, making test item specifications, updating the rating items, guidelines and scorecards, designing the final oral test scorecard and conducting the final oral exam. It turns out that these series of actions improve the validity and reliability of the exam, and enhance the washback effect of learning. In the meantime, it also reaches the goals of this study: (1) it reduces the discrepancies of the final oral exam rating on the same student among three teachers; (2) teachers are able to explain the students’ performance in the oral exam and provide proper feedbacks; (3) students have more time to answer more questions. |
