The education for academically gifted students in Taiwan emphasizes onmathematics and science. Mathematics education has focused on the developmentof the gifted students’ thinking skills. This article introduced Sternberg’s Theory ofSuccessful Intelligence and its three types of intelligences: analytical, practical, andcreative intelligences. Further, it demonstrated how to use Sternberg’s Theory to design amathematics lesson that would help academically gifted students develop their thinkingabilities. |
