The purpose of this study is to explore how the high academic achievement students of new immigrant children have succeeded in learning. The study has chosen three first grade elementary students in Taichung City as the target and adopted qualitative research to analyze the data that collecting from individual interviews and documents. The research found out that there are disadvantages of the students' family. However, the three students have good performance on their learning because of self-motivation and self-confidence, family support, and preschool and after school program.
Based on the result of research, the study provides some suggestions for new immigrant children to promote their academic achievement. |
