The purposes of this study were to understand the current situations of time management and class management effectiveness of elementary homeroom teachers, to investigate the differences in time management and class management effectiveness based on different background variables, to discuss the relationships between time management and class management effectiveness, and to forecast analysis of time management toward class management effectiveness. The samples of this study were public elementary homeroom teachers in Taichung city. The instrument was “Questionnaire on Time Management and Class Management Effectiveness of elementary homeroom teachers”, and under formal testing, 512 valid samples were collected. The findings of the study were as follows: 1.The performance of elementary homeroom teachers in time management is good. 2.The performance of elementary homeroom teachers in class management effectiveness is good. 3.Elementary homeroom teachers with different genders, academic backgrounds and grade levels of teaching show differences in time management. 4.Elementary homeroom teachers with diverse academic backgrounds show differences in management effectiveness. 5.There was ansignificant positive correlation between time management and classroom management effectiveness of elementary homeroom teachers. 6.Elementary homeroom teachers’ time management can significantly predict their class management effectiveness. |
