The purposes of this study were to understand current situations of teacher leadership and teachers’ organizational commitment in junior high schools, to investigate the differences in teacher leadership and in teachers’ organizational commitment based on different background variables, to discuss the relationships between teacher leadership and teachers’ organizational commitment, and to forecast analysis of teacher leadership toward teachers’ organizational commitment. The population of this study were the teachers in public junior high school in Taichung city. The instrument was “Questionnaire on Teacher Leadership and Teachers’ organizational commitment in junior high schools”, and under formal testing, 511 valid samples were collected. The findings of the study were as followed: 1.Teachers’ perception of teacher leadership was good. 2.Teachers’ perception of teachers’ organizational commitment was good. 3.Teachers’ perception of teacher leadership was significantly different in diverse years of experience, posts and school scales. 4.Teachers’ perception of teachers’ organizational commitment were significantly different in diverse genders, posts and school scales. 5.There was a positive correlation between teacher leadership and teachers’ organizational commitment. 6.Teacher leadership can significatly influence teachers’ organizational commitment. |
