The main purpose of this article was to analyze the policy making and amending processes of gifted education in Taiwan. The amendment to the United States gifted educational policy was reviewed and the interaction between the research and Taiwan gifted educational policy worlds was further discussed. The results showed positive interactions between policy and research world in gifted education policy amendment in Taiwan. Although differences exist in the gifted legislation processes between Taiwan and the United States, there is significant similarity in the student-centered core value. |
