Comparison of Educational Expenditures in Junior High Schools about the Merger of Kaohsiung City and Kaohsiung County: A Case Study of Two Schools

高雄縣、市於2010 年12 月25 日正式合併，合併前，高雄縣市之間教育資源分配存在區域差異的事實；合併後，原高雄市學校憂心為了彌補縣市合併後的財政缺口，將犧牲原高雄市的教育品質。本研究以教育機會均等的相關理論為架構，針對分別隸屬於原高雄縣、市的兩所國民中學，進行98、99 與100 年度教育經費投入指標分析，從中了解高雄縣市合併前後國民中學教育經費投入的實際情況，並做合理的經費分配方案之建議。

The educational financial condition in Kaohsiung City and Kaohsiung County varied. After their merge on December 25, 2010, there was a concern that the quality of education of the former Kaohsiung City would be damaged to restore the balanced development of the whole city. Based on equality of educational opportunity and related theories, annual educational expenditure indicator data from two junior high schools in 2009, 2010 and 2011 were analyzed to understand the resources distribution prior and after the merge. This study also provides suggestion for further resources distribution plan in Kaohsiung City.
