The purposes of this study were to investigate vocational high school teachers' professional performance and the difference in the professional performance among vocational high school teachers with different background variables. To achieve the purpose of this study, a literature review was conducted to examine relevant literature about professional performance. Subsequently, a survey was conducted among the formal vocational high school teachers in the school year of 2011 by means of cluster sampling method. 47 schools located in different districts across Taiwan were randomly selected. A total of 1,175 copies of the questionnaire were distributed, and 976 valid copies were retrieved with a recovery rate of 83.06%. After the data were analyzed, the results were as follows: 1. Vocational high school teachers professional performance was statistically significant higher than the intermediate level. 2. Statistically significant differences were found among vocational high school professional performance with different ages, positions, teaching categories, service lengths, and school locations. |
