Digital learning and self-regulated learning are international trends in Education 4.0. The usage behavior and satisfaction of students regarding online learning platforms are topics worth exploring. In response to the trend of digital learning, the Ministry of Education has integrated the concept of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal with the vision of the 12-year national curriculum, focusing on “suitable talent cultivation and lifelong learning.” It emphasizes the development of students’ self-regulated learning abilities and has launched the teacher-adaptive teaching assistance platform. Based on the self-regulated learning model of Zimmerman and Moylan, this study employs the questionnaire survey method to explore the usage behavior and user satisfaction of adaptive learning platform. The research participants are 445 senior students in elementary schools in Pingtung County. The findings suggest that motivational belief has significantly positive effects on self-control and adaptation. Self-control has a significantly positive effect on adaptation. Adaptation has significantly positive effects on usage behavior and user satisfaction of adaptive learning platform. This study further demonstrates that self-control has a mediating effect on the relationship between motivational beliefs and adaptation, and adaptation has a mediating effect on the relationship between self-control and usage behavior and user satisfaction. Self-control, adaptation, and usage behavior are important mediating variables between motivational beliefs and user satisfaction. This study provides practical implications for school educators to use online learning platforms for achieving sustainable education. |
