Compassionate Care, Accessible Healthcare: Taipei Veterans General Hospital

衛生福利部舉辦了「112年就醫無礙標竿競賽」，藉此激勵醫療院所打造一個讓高齡長者、婦女、兒童、身心障礙者或行動不便的民眾能順利就醫的環境空間。臺北榮總本著「以人為本」的醫療服務，在此次競賽獲得金獎的殊榮。

臺北榮總表現的獨特之處在幾方面：

一、友善的療癒空間：打破一般人對醫院冰冷、憂鬱的印象。

二、有溫度的服務：志工服務、輔具一條龍服務與各式輔助設施設備，讓民眾感受到親切、溫暖的服務。

三、以人為本的影像檢查：依照病人需求而提供不同的輔助設備服務，展現以人為本的服務精神。

四、人性化病房：從病房空間、光線與相關衛教等方面，以「病人」為事先考量，從這些小細節中體現臺北榮總對病人的體貼與關懷。

Ministry of Health and Welfare held the 2023 Healthcare Accessible Medical Care Award Program to motivate medical institutions to create an environment and space that enables elderly people, women, children, people with disabilities, or people with limited mobility to receive medical care smoothly. Taipei Veterans General Hospital, adhering to the principle of patient-centered care, was honored with the gold medal in this competition.

The Taipei Veterans General Hospital’s performance is unique in the following aspects:

1.Friendly healing spaces: Overturning the common perception of hospitals as cold and melancholic environments.

2.Warm and compassionate service: Volunteer assistance, one-stop service covering assistive devices, and various supportive facilities that ensure the patients experience friendly and heartwarming services.

3.Patient-centered imaging examination: Providing tailored assistive devices based on patient needs, embodying a spirit of patient-centered service.

4.Humanized ward: From space, lighting, to health education, all aspects are designed with the patients as the foremost consideration, reflecting the Taipei Veterans General Hospital’s care and concern for the patient well-being in every details.
