This study focuses on the chain of custody for criminal evidence from the operation and legal aspects. Chapter 2 deals with the current operation status. Chapter 3 establishes the relationship between the procedure of criminal evidence custody and the due process of law and the defense right of the defendant. The study also discusses the establishment of a due process of custody for criminal evidence and the legal effects of violating the procedures respectively in Chapter 4 and Chapter 5. Finally, Chapter 6 summarizes the research findings and draws recommendations, hoping to serve as a reference for legislators and academia. |
