This study aims to discover the voices of different groups of indigenous peoples in terms of adult family homecare and then apply the findings to promote appropriate long-term care policy for indigenous peoples. Therefore, this research adopted an ethnography approach and employed literature review, in-depth interviews and a focus group to investigate the experiences of people who provide adult family homecare services in indigenous areas. The findings indicate that the service of adult family homecare can meet indigenous culture, but the providers face a lot of difficulties. For example, regulations are not appropriate for indigenous, and they have to learn how to manage an institution. These issues drove the’’adult family homecare’’away from’’being home’’.
