This paper begins with the development of contextual theology in the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan in the 1970s. An attempt is made by the author to integrate this church development with the progress of Western religious geography by adding the progress of the theological community’s attempts to integrate the study of geography with the concept of space and the new direction of the study of religious geography that emerged after 2010. The paper concludes with a discussion of the changes that the contextual theology of the Presbyterian Church has made to the landscape of religions in Taiwan, as well as suggesting possible directions for future research. Also, the author provides a discussion of the changes in the local theology of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan. |
