To improve the labor experience and quality of clinical care, this project aimed to enhance expectant mothers' understanding of pain relief methods to better manage labor-related stress. A baseline assessment revealed an awareness accuracy rate of only 50.6%, primarily due to healthcare staff time constraints, inconsistent information, excessive medical jargon, and a lack of standardized explanation protocols. In response, we implemented evidence-based interventions, including the creation of a shared decisionmaking assessment tool, the establishment of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and comprehensive staff training. These efforts successfully increased the accuracy of expectant mothers' awareness to 91.3%, meeting project goals and ensuring more informed, empowered decision-making during the labor process. |
