This study aims to analyze the impact on education resulting from the transition from the development of information technology to the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI), which has led to a phenomenon of paradigm shift. With the method of literature review, combining the use of related Gen AI tools, it investigates the transformed content and characteristics of National Language Literacy (NLL) within the framework of Taiwan's 12 Year Basic Education, as reshaped by this paradigm shift. The research findings indicate that NLL is reshaped by AI and Gen AI, and its content and characteristics encompass five major dimensional shifts: (1) From technical competence to functional literacy. (2) From traditional literacy to multiliteracies. (3) From single medium to multimodal forms. (4) From passive absorption to autonomous construction. (5) From being individual ownership to community participation and co creation. Based on these findings, this study proposes that future curriculum reform should incorporate AI literacy, emphasize critical multiliteracies as a form of social practice, and encourage further localized research to respond to the evolving educational challenges of the AI era. |
