The development of domestic animation has undergone a曲折 (tortuous) journey, yet in recent years, it has experienced explosive growth. A vast number of ACG works and derivative creations have emerged successively, among which The Legend of Luo Xiaohei stands out as a highly representative animation during this period of rapid expansion. From its initial stages, The Legend of Luo Xiaohei faced numerous challenges. Along the way, it innovated in storytelling, advanced creative concepts, and gradually constructed the worldview of The Legend of Luo Xiaohei, creating a narrative where humans and demons coexist while introducing the idea of harmony between self and others. Through its depiction of multiple characters, diverse drawing techniques, and well-laid story plots, The Legend of Luo Xiaohei successfully presents values that diverge from the conventional ''good wins, evil loses'' paradigm, offering new perspectives and a distinct aesthetic sensibility. This paper explores the relationship between thought and values through the lens of The Legend of Luo Xiaohei and the choices made by Luo Xiaohei. It also compares The Legend of Luo Xiaohei with classic works such as Hunter × Hunter (by Yoshihiro Togashi), highlighting differences and innovations. |
