Purpose: The present research aims to study the effects of health cultivation Yoga exercise in physical fitness and psychological adaptation of female undergraduates. Methods: A single-sample pre-test and post-test design was adopted, and 67 female undergraduates were selected as the research subjects. Health cultivation Yoga exercise was proceeded by 100 min/times and continued 1 time in one week for 18 weeks. Physical fitness uses seated forward bends to test flexibility and one-minute knee sit-ups to test muscle endurance; psychological adaptation uses research tools such as the college student life adap-tation scale and common competency and collects quantitative data through pre- and post-tests and uses dependent samples. t-test and Pearson correlation were used to analyze the changes in body flexibility, muscle endurance, life adaptation, and com-mon competency of female undergraduates. Results: 1. After the intervention of health cultivation yoga exercise, the perfor-mance of the low flexibility group was significantly improved (*p < .05); Both positive attitude towards psychological adapta-tion and school adaptation were significantly improved (*p < .05). There is a medium to high degree of significant correlation between life adaptation and common competence. Conclusions: Health cultivation yoga exercise intervention can substantially improve the physical fitness and psychological adaptation of female freshmen with low flexibility. |
