In 2003, Taiwan proposed the emerging industry of cultural and creative industries, which has experienced more than 20 years of growth. This study aims to explore three questions“what public space resources are reused by the government during this period.’,“What types of cultural and creative industries have been developed? And“what are the successful cases?'' Research methods are Meta-analysis and case study. In this study, 17 types of idle public space for reuse have been preliminarily constructed, and experts have suggeted to supplement six types: water resources, hospitals and clinics, historic people’s former residences, special natural resources(i.e. hot spring), historic manufactory, and religious reserved site. In 2024, it has been clarified that there are only 21 types in Taipei, and 21 presentative cases have been proposed. The expected benefits are for local governments to look at each other, what public space resources can be reused. And refer to introduced cases to adjust the way of spatial development. Improve administrative efficiency, develop cultural and creative industries, and drive the local economy. |
