In this paper, confession of Xing Shi Yin Yuan Chuan as a starting point, confession in reflection of religious, cultural and economic interaction of different elements, with particular emphasis on the cultural level introspection, trying to provide a new viewpoint for Xing Shi Yin Yuan Chuan. Therefore, this article focus on analysis of the fiction-related symbols, plot, rhetoric, etc., especially all kinds of the meaning on the river culture of Xing Shi Yin Yuan Chuan, in turn dealing with the multiple religious and cultural meaning of the flood water in Ming Shui Town(ming shui li lao), river belief and drama ritual, and the Tongzhou as a Canal city, and then accompanied with glory and depraved characteristics. Finally, analysis on the basic structure of Xing Shi Yin Yuan Chuan are religious ethics and economic life, however, in the fiction, one of the origin of the guilty comes from the canal culture, Commodity Economy which results in dislocation and deviation of moral in the Late Imperial China business community. Therefore, the importance of confession in the Xing Shi Yin Yuan Chuan is religious ethics return after the dislocation and deviation of moral values, and reflects the relationship between river culture and Chinese religions. |
