The main purpose of this article is to discuss the contemporary folk songs composed by Mong-Long Feng from aesthetic perspectives. Aesthetic is influenced by various factors, such as feeling, demand, desire, capability, and ideology. In comparing and contrasting the preferences of general civilians as well as clerisy and Feng's comments regarding aesthetic in Ming Dynasty and in conjunction with the particular wave of aesthetic, Feng's aesthetic attachment in composing contemporary folk songs was discussed. The conclusions are proposed as the following: love and faithfulness, meaning and image, argotic and slang, assonance and tacitness. |
