「植物園文化」探析

The ''Botanical Garden Culture” in the Northern Taiwan

筆者透過對「植物園文化」遺址的全面性再調查，和進行「植物園文化」與「圓山文化」的器物之器型和組成的比較結果，基本上認為「植物園文化」為在台北盆地南西側的「圓山文化」基礎上發展而成的史前文化，而兩者間最大的差別在於從「圓山文化」的以素面陶為主體，轉變為「植物園文化」的以軟質幾何形印紋陶為主體的這個變化上，亦即陶器的「印紋化」。但是從「植物園文化」和「圓山文化」兩者的器物組成所映出來的基本文化特性相似這點看來，可知「印紋化」並未為「植物園文化」的文化特性帶來質的變化。

'Botanical Garden Culture'' is important for us to clarify how the Neolithic age transits to the Iron age in Taiwan. But up to now, archaeologists only have a vague understanding about it. For these reasons, author executed a thorough survey of ''Botanical Garden Culture'' sites in the Northern Taiwan for resolving the relation between ''Botanical Garden Culture'' and ''Yuan Shan Culture.'' Author compared the style and assemblages of artifacts between both, the result from it is both of them have a same cultural tradition, even there is a change from plain pottery to geometric-impressed pottery-impressify （印紋化）.
