As the space issue is concerned, the orientation of space shall be the most impart component to be managed. In particular, the “fuzzy” orientation of space is a fascinating phenomenon that deserves to explore. The perception of distance - the sense of hearing and smelling – may become fuzzy owing to various factors; for example, the sound may comes from multiple sources, be interfered, or be given off by a moving object or from an invisible place (in terms of the sense of hearing). In similar, the smell may come from multiple sources, spread in the direction of blowing wind, be given off from invisible place or weak odor (in terms of the sense of smelling). All these factors will result to the fuzzy orientation of space and create “mysterious” or “flourishing” effects. The “mysterious” effect will promote the perception of mood and to provoke the affectivity (sorrow and joy as well). The “flourishing” effect, on the other hand, will vigorously delineate the features of subjects such as seasons and festivals. These effects play an active role to develop and manifest the motif of a literary work. When one attempts to explore the fuzzy orientation of space, he/she must take a comprehensive view on this issue. In this context, analysis of the organization of writing would be helpful to clarity the images with fussy orientation of space, to define its significance, to identify its relation with other images, and consequently, to highlight the motif and to enhance the affective connotation in a literary work. |
