Su xue-lin was known as one of the first generation of female writers of new literature in modern Chinese literature history. She passed away at the age of 103 and left prolific works including mythology, prose, novels, dramas, fairy tales, essays…etc. Among the works, ji xin、lu tian and mythology research works earned academic attention most , and established a fixed mode of thinking. This essay refers to Su xue-lin's force advocating thoughts to highlight her individual characteristics and the difference between her and other female writers at the same period. Su xue-lin's force advocating thoughts are able to explain her attitudes toward anti- communism / anti-Lu xun and being a maverick in academic research and May-Fourth-Movement. |
