The paper can be divided into three parts. The first part emphasizes on summarizing the opinions about the scientific trend of thought of 1920s and 1930s in the academe and criticizes them one by one. The second part makes a point that the scientific trend of thought of 1920s and 1930s had the pre-scientism by comparing it with the west scientific trend of thought. The third part continues to discuss the influence of the pre-scientific trend of thought on the development of Chinese modernity. |
