Thinking is the impetus of knowing and doing. The subject matter of thinking is composed of images. That is, it is image that links up all aspects of thinking and constitutes an “image (thinking) system”. This system is closely related to language ability. In terms of literary works, the integration of images would determine the “theme” (motif) and “style”. Therefore, the most appropriate and direct way to identity the integration of images in a literary work is by means of its “thinking (image) system”. |
