Domestic Integration and Suicide in Pacific Rim Nations

Whereas marriage and birth rates predicted suicide rates in the USA in the period from 1969 to 1988 as hypothesized by the French sociologist, Emile Durkheim, this was not so for other Pacific Rim nations. The results point to the need for theories of suicide proposed especially for non-Western nations.
