The research is to explore the individuation processes of female adolescents within mother-daughter relationship context. Forty five female adolescents are interviewed by initial interview, focus group, and depth interview processes to explore their full experiences combining psychological dimension, social dimension and historical dimension. Results were presented in terms of three major individuation processes and six individuation models, where ''context reading'' playing a key role. Comparing to traditional ''separation model'', alternative models such as ''empathy model'' and ''voice model'' were further discussed. |
