The major purpose of this study was to develop the instruments of stress and coping skills, and also to investigate the relationship of stress coping and military adaptation. From the factor analysis, there were 3 factors in the stress inventory: ''military, family, and personal stress'', the stress inventory alpha coefficient was .93. Coping skills inventory has 2 factors ''positive, negative coping''. Data were collected from a sample of 3022 enlist men and the results were: The stress and coping skills were significant difference between the enlist men background variables. The military stress relate to military adaptation was high, the r =-.40, and positive coping skills relate to military adaptation also high ,the r=.50.Military and personal stress can predict 16.6% enlist men's adaptation, and their coping skills can predict 42.5% military adaptation. |
