This study investigated the issue “alien invasive species” via the mothod of DFC (Design for Change) to ecourage students in active learning. The researcher reflected herself on teaching process via action research, examined the possibilities of implementation of Competency-based Curriculum by DFC and concluded as following: On the one hand, designing in the lesson plans of Competency-based Curriculum is also the process of taking the initiative, engaging the public and seeking the common good for both students and teachers. On the other hand, the student-centered lesson plan is the best way to implement the Competency-based Curriculum: (1)The first step to enhance active learning is to develop reading comprehension ability. (2)Exploring the issues by group cooperation could improve the capabilities of communication and interpersonal relationship. (3)DFC is an effective mothod to develop key competencies and connect the real world for students. |
