Globally, diverse remedies are undergoing testing and trials, with a particular emphasis on India. The pivotal catalyst for bridging the digital gap revolves around the exploration of varied technological and economic strategies aimed at reducing network deployment costs and enhancing service adoption rates. This survey is dedicated to examining the intricacies of rural connectivity in India, encompassing use-cases, cutting-edge projects, endeavors, obstacles, and tools that can uplift connectivity in remote areas. An in-depth analysis of the assets and limitations of the diverse technological advances being experimented with internet connectivity in rural regions is undertaken. Additionally, we venture into the realm of the 5G communication system, assessing its suitability for the unique challenges posed by rural India. |
