This study aims to explore the application of the GROW model by elementary school teachers in the development of school-based curricula and to analyze the challenges they face during implementation and their coping strategies. The study's conclusions are as follows: (I)Application of the GROW Model: I. Goal Setting: Teachers establish clear objectives based on instructional needs, and discussions help clarify directions. II. Current Reality: External factors such as time constraints, student and family pressures, and internal factors like low motivation influence teachers' willingness to grow. III. Options: Active participation and joining collaborative learning communities are ways for teachers to overcome difficulties and foster growth. IV. Will: Teachers' motivation stems from personal willingness and external support, such as collaborative planning time, resource assistance, and positive feedback. (II) Coping Strategies for Challenges in Applying the GROW Model: I. Positive Atmosphere Encourages Teacher Action: School support, such as public recognition, can enhance teachers' willingness to change and take action. II. Teachers Set Goals and Adjust Strategies: After improving questioning techniques, if students remain at a superficial level of understanding, teachers need to reflect and adjust strategies to enhance instructional effectiveness. III. Teachers Integrate Effective Resources Through Coaching: With the guidance of coaches, teachers gain access to external resources and macro-level support, helping them clarify goals, refine strategies, and improve their ability to reflect and adapt in the face of challenges. |
