Researching the Warring States Chu's Thought of Universe by Analyzing "Lao Tzu", "Chuang Tzu", "Shan Hai Jing", "the Songs of the South" Digging Chu Bamboo and Slik Documents

先秦楚人進入南方之後，與南方的苗蠻各族相互融合，激盪出燦爛的文化。相較於中原各國漸漸抬頭的人文主義，東周楚國仍瀰漫著迷信的巫風。在這樣一個氛圍下的東周楚人，其眼中世界與中原各國有何不同？本文據《老子》、《莊子》、《山海經》、《楚辭‧天問》及近世出土的戰國楚地文獻資料，知道楚人主張宇宙係由氣的變化而形成，而氣的運作係遵從道的指揮。氣不止變化為宇宙六合，六合之中還有天堂、人界、幽都黃泉之分。

After Chu race entered north Chinese, they merged with north barbarians. After the merger, they developed new culture. What are the different thought about the world creation in Chu and central Chinese people's eyes is a big query. We try to figure out the difference by analyzing "Lao Tzu", "Chuang Tzu", "Shan Hai Jiang", "The Songs of the South", digging Chu bamboo and silk documents. Finally we know Chu people thought the world is composed of "Qi". They have three level worlds: haven, earth and underworld.
