So far, "The Collective Interpretation of Zhou I" is the most comprehensive edition in all of the Xing-Yan Sun's I HSUEH. This article tries to investigate the achievements from several aspects: Firstly, to make a description of his carrier, thought, and writings. Secondly, to illustrate the background of "The Collective Interpretation of Zhou Yi" including the motivation, form, kinship, and relation with scholars of "Gan-Jia Period'. Thirdly, the distinguishing feature of "The Collective interpretation of Zhou I" (1) the combination Wang Bi with li Ding Zuo, (2) the characteristic with the comparison of PU-HSUEH in the field of I Ching, (3) the achievements in the research of textualism. Fourthly, to sum up the fruitful results and give the presumptive description. |
