In order to promote the national competitive ability, Taiwan is undergoing a vigorous innovation of higher education. Its main direction and target is to enhance the quality of higher education. For a long time, the higher education in Taiwan has a bias between teaching and research. The Ministry of Education knows that most university teachers put emphasis on research rather than on teaching and this is unfavorable to the development of the higher education. Therefore, the Ministry of Education began to launch a ''Supreme Project'' with high budget to encourage and improve the teaching quality in universities. China Medical University has the same project. In order to promote and improve the teaching quality, this article is going to discuss about the following issues: 1. The planning of history course in general education. 2. The ''professional'' and ''instrumental'' functions of history teaching. 3. The audio-video teaching method transforms into a recreational style. In this thesis, I have offered some ideas and suggestions in the history teaching. The subject of the educational innovation is the students. The students have to adjust to the new teaching environment, and the teachers also have to adjust to and satisfy the intellectual requirement of the students. In the future, both the teachers and the students must learn and ponder to establish an interaction mechanism, thus the teaching quality of the history course will be promoted and achieved. |
