Nursing is a patient-centered profession that utilizes knowledge and skills to care for individuals' physical and mental health. The curriculum of Fundamental Nursing is a core component of nursing training, that lays the foundation for students to acquire critical knowledge and develop essential skills necessary to succeed in the field. Facing the changing clinical environment and learning patterns of new-generation students, it is educators’responsibility to use various teaching strategies to enhance students' learning motivation and effectiveness. This project integrates three innovative teaching strategies: (1) microlecture, (2) interactive simulated animation and virtual reality teaching, and (3) empathy maps to achieve educational objectives related to cognition, skills, and emotions. This project strengthens students' theoretical foundations through microlecture, allows students to experience clinical scenarios through simulated scenarios animation and virtual reality, and combines empathy maps with caring and empathy as the core to enhance students' professional knowledge and skills, problem-solving abilities, and communication abilities. The results of this project showed that the three innovative strategies not only enhance students' learning motivation but also improve their learning effectiveness. |
