The legacy: A Retrospective and Prospective View of the National Central Library's Overseas Exhibitions

國家圖書館為傳播文化精膸，特於2012年起，每年於不同的海外城市舉辦特藏文獻主題展覽，希望藉珍貴古籍以文學、歷史、宗教、藝術等不同面向，展現漢學中所蘊含的古典文化與傳統美學。展覽的內涵與呈現也隨著時間推移而不斷更新與改變。如展覽脈絡不僅發展為脈絡完整的品牌展覽，更逐步擴大展品關聯範圍；展示手法也愈趨多元化、精緻化與親民化；展覽情境則演變為依不同國家與個別主題進行客製化的情境氛圍；在串聯學術資源方面，也加上了新興副品牌「Taiwan Corner」；同時藉由科技結合「實際」展品與「虛擬」體驗，達到「虛實整合」。未來希望持續發展可模組化移展的新展覽品牌，並增添AI等創新科技技術，讓民眾在觀展同時，可以享受到更好的全感官式體驗。

To disseminate the essence of cultural heritage, the National Central Library has, since 2012, held thematic exhibitions of its special collections in various overseas cities annually. These exhibitions aim to showcase the classical culture and traditional aesthetics inherent in Sinology through precious ancient texts, presented from diverse perspectives including literature, history, religion, and art. The content and presentation of these exhibitions have continuously evolved and transformed over time. For instance, the exhibition framework has not only developed into a comprehensive and branded exhibition series but has also progressively expanded the scope of related exhibits. The exhibition methods have become increasingly diversified, refined, and accessible. The exhibition settings have evolved into customized atmospheres tailored to different countries and individual themes. In terms of integrating academic resources, a new sub-brand, 'Taiwan Corner,' has been added. Furthermore, technology is employed to combine“physical”exhibits with“virtual”experiences, achieving“Integration of real and virtual display.”Looking ahead, the NCL hopes to continue developing a new brand of modular and portable stands and incorporate innovative technologies such as AI to provide visitors with an enhanced, multi-sensory experience.
