明治日本與教育家三澤糾的思想形成脈絡

Meiji Japan and the context of the thought formation of Educator Misawa Tadasu

三澤糾被認為是樹立臺北高等學校（1922-1945）校風與校園文化的重要推手，亦被稱為「自由主義者」、「好校長」，備受尊崇。他從第一任校長松村傳手中接下第二任校長的職位，於1925年5月赴臺就任。他在約4年半的任期中，完成了幾項重要任務，包含興建校舍、規劃各項學生活動、填寫校歌歌詞，為臺北高等學校各項制度與校風文化奠定基礎。
本研究主要目的有二：第一，梳理前人文獻的研究成果，並根據訪談三澤家族後代的第一手資料，重新彙整三澤糾的生平與著作論述。第二，回顧三澤糾的青年時期，涵蓋就讀東京帝國大學哲學系、參與基督教信仰活動、留學美國的經歷，探討這些經歷對他的思想形成所產生的影響。
三澤糾被認為為殖民地臺灣的臺北高等學校建立了兼具「自由」與「民主」的校風。三澤身為一位開明的教育家，青年時期正值日本明治時代，他究竟受到當時哪些社會風氣與思想的薰陶與影響？本文透過觀察三澤糾早年的求學經歷，深入剖析明治時期日本高級知識份子對個人、自由、國家的態度以及他的思想所展現的多面性。

Misawa Tadasu is acclaimed for his role in establishing the ethos and campus culture of Taihoku Higher School (1922~1945), often referred to as a“liberal”and“outstanding principal.”He assumed the position of the second principal, succeeding Matsumura Tsutae, and took office in Taiwan in May 1925. During his approximately four and a half years in office, he oversaw the completion of the new school building, the design and planning of various student activities, and the composition of the school’s first alma mater, thereby establishing the foundation of various systems and cultures at the institution.
This study has two main objectives: First, based on previous research findings and interviews with family descendants, to reevaluate the life and works of Misawa Tadasu. Second, to examine Misawa's formative years, including his studies at the Department of Philosophy at the Imperial University of Tokyo, his involvement in Christian faith activities, his experience of studying in the United States, and the influence of these experiences on the development of his ideas.
He is later regarded as having established a school culture in colonial Taiwan that was both“liberal”and“democratic.”What social and intellectual influences did enlightened educators like him receive during their youth in Meiji Japan? Through an exploration of the early educational experiences of the Japanese educator Misawa Tadasu, this paper seeks to understand and contemplate the multifaceted nature of Meiji-era Japanese intellectuals’attitudes towards the individual, freedom, the state, and the diversity of their thoughts.
