The issue of police duty safety has always been a topic of great importance to the National Police Agency. To improve the police enforcement environment and thoroughly enhance the safety of officers on duty. The National Police Agency is re-examining recent issues related to police duty and their underlying causes. A systematic analysis is being conducted to refine and improve safety measures, aiming to strengthen officer safety. This article, based on the National Police Agency's efforts to enhance police duty safety, collects literature and incorporates the author's personal experiences and observations. It analyzes the causes of accidents that frequently occur during police duties from a problem-awareness perspective, aiming to fundamentally resolve issues related to police duty safety. Secondly, to eliminate unfavorable duty environments for police safety, it is essential to start with comprehensive operational planning. Once a solid foundation for effective police duty planning is established, the focus should then shift to developing sound judgment and decision-making in police enforcement. This allows every officer to adopt a standardized approach to safety, following a checklist-like process for quick verification or judgment when handling incidents. This aims to enhance the effectiveness of police duty safety. |
