Situated on a riverbank highland along the right bank of the Xindian River, the Botanical Garden Station of the Wanda Line occupies a site of considerable archaeological and historical significance. The area yields a rich assemblage of artifacts, ecofacts, and cultural relics spanning multiple historical periods. Systematic excavation and comparative analysis of these materials, in conjunction with historical documentation, facilitate a more nuanced and comprehensive understanding of folk life and cultural practices in the southern urban area of Taipei from the late Qing Dynasty till the Japanese era. These findings offer valuable contributions to the reconstruction and interpretation of the region’s historical development. |
