This study examines the challenges and solutions faced by institutional digital archives systems in response to the expansion of digital content and collaboration partners, using the National Central Library's ''Taiwan Memory'' system as a case study. ''Taiwan Memory,'' a representative digital archive system, has been in operation for over 20 years and remains a frequently used resource for historians and scholars. The paper begins by reviewing the development and establishment of ''Taiwan Memory,'' focusing on the collaboration between the National Central Library, the New Taipei City Library, and the centennial schools. It explores the collaborative mechanisms, outcomes, and challenges, analyzing the cataloging and presentation of metadata. The study reflects on and summarizes the practical experiences, highlighting the need to consider resource selection, the establishment of collaborative mechanisms, content review of metadata, and multi-channel presentation of collaborative resources. As ''Taiwan Memory'' continues to expand its digital resources and partnerships, ongoing enhancement of technological applications and flexible collaboration strategies are identified as crucial for the system's long-term sustainability. |
