This study aims to conduct a literature review and integrated analysis of the research of group counseling in Taiwan from 2013 to 2022. The researcher used three keywords such as“group counseling”,“groupmembers”and“counselling group”in the database to search for journals and papers as research and analysis data. Research data were excluded from three exclusions: (1) the paper or study was published earlier than 2013 and later than 2022; (2) the content was not the subject of group counseling or not the group effect on members; and (3) the non-empirical research literature review or just only literature discussion article. After screening, a total of 88 studies on group counseling and group members were obtained as analytical data for this study. The results show that the literature distribution is based on academic papers, of which master's theses are the most, much more than doctoral dissertations. In terms of the theoretical orientation of group counseling, except for those that do not limit major counseling theories, postmodern counseling therapy orientation is the most. The following one is expressive art therapy orientation. In terms of group membership issues, the theme of self-development was the most, followed by social adaptation. The ethnic groups to which the study subjects belonged were adults the most, followed by adolescent. The study concludes that, compared to the previous decade, therapeutic approaches have become more diverse, and issues concerning personal development have grown richer in response to social changes. However, in the coming decade, more in-depth research and exploration are still needed in the areas of elderly issues and gender equality. Finally, the study presents its limitations and offers additional suggestions for future research. |
