Courses on“Teaching Strategies”should keep pace with the times so that students can be interested in understanding the strategies that should be used when applying educational technology. Cultivating preservice Chinese language teachers with emerging technology vocational-skills---that is, developing novel Chinese education strategies, is an aspect that cannot be ignored in Chinese education courses. This article is the phased research result of the author’s MOE Year 112 Teaching Practice Research Project. The project sets“Production of 360-degree Panoramic Photography Augmented Reality Cross-Cultural Teaching Materials Unit”as an emerging technology function. Teachers and students plan the direction of the unit's teaching materials, and industry teachers guide students in the production of teaching materials. Teachers and industry teachers in the first semester of the 2022 academic year, we jointly guided students to create 360-degree panoramic photography VR/AR finished products that were used in the implementation tasks of“International Chinese Language Companions”week by week. Twenty-five college students participated in the“Chinese Language Teaching Strategies”course by implementing a course that incorporates learning activities for emerging technological abilities that are gradually introduced. Research methods include evaluating students’learning portfolios/weekly journals and quantitative and qualitative questionnaires to examine how students integrate emerging technology functions into Chinese language teaching strategies in the course and observe their changes. This study aims to understand students' acceptance of this innovative curriculum model, and to summarize the evolution, practical application and importance of“Chinese language teaching strategies”in the new era. |
