In contemporary society, aging and low birthrate issues have become increasingly severe. Since 1993, when the nation officially entered an aging society and further progressed to an aged society in 2018, it is projected to become a super-aged society by 2025. To sustain economic development, the government encourages the employment of elderly people through various subsidies and regulations. Consequently, the number of aging workers has been rising annually and is expected to become a significant source of labor in the future. Thus, how enterprises respond and adopt support measures is crucial to human resources research. This study uses semi-structured interviews with six managers in enterprises and human resources to understand concerns, challenges, and current conditions related to employing aging workers. Additionally, it examines support and implementation methods for aging workers and consolidates specific workplace assistance. The results indicate that the proportion of aging workers in enterprises is currently low, there is a lack of specific assistance for them, and while enterprises are optimistic about future aging workers employment, they also recognize the limited willingness of elderly people to continue working. Based on these findings, this study proposes suggestions for enterprises, aging workers, the government, and future research directions. |
