Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore psychodrama group therapy for the survivors of dating rapes in Taiwan. Methods: Eleven girls who were survivors of dating rape, age between 14 to 23, referred from southern part of Taiwan a Sexual Assault Prevention Committee were composed the client group. There were seven social workers joined the group to compose the auxiliary ego. Using the instruments of ''adjective selection by projection method''; ''outcome evaluation questionnaire'', and ''structural open questionnaire interviewing scale'' for collecting data. Results: Results of the study: (1) the adjective selection for ''men'' by the survivor group were consistently negative during the pre and post measurement. (2) the outcome evaluation was administrated by the auxiliary ego group. It indicated that 46% of the survivors were improved significantly regarding to their emotional stabilized, mourning and selfassertiveness. (3) the most significant factor which related to the survivor's change in treatment was absentee and lack of family support. The most valuable contribution of this study was the first ever experience of psychodrama treatment with the survivors of dating rape in Taiwan. The evaluation and experience of this study were both positively affirming the method of psychodrama model for the survivors of dating rape. |
